An art-school kid who wasn’t allowed to go to art school, Thad earned a journalism degree from The Ohio State University where he gained insight on how to ask the right questions, listen well, and then make something of it. Coupled with an insatiable curiosity, those traits became the foundation for pursuing his artistic endeavors and navigating the world of arts and letters. Taught by some of the best outside of a formal MFA curriculum, his journey has been unconventional, full of starts and stops as life’s demands called. In retrospect, the timing has been divine rather than predetermined, which is to say it has unfolded just as it should.
His creative work originates in a small studio on the outskirts of a growing Midwestern city.
